A man has been taken to hospital after a crash between a car and motorbike in Wapping.

Police were called to the incident on Cannon Street Road at 7.05am today (November 15).

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and treated a man at the scene.

The man was taken to a near-by hospital where his condition has been confirmed as non-life threatening.

An ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer also attended the scene, with the first paramedics arriving in under four minutes.

There has been no arrests and investigations into the circumstances continue.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “On Friday, 15 November at 7.05am police were called to Cannon Street Road following reports of a road traffic collision between a car and a motorbike.

“Police attended the scene alongside colleagues from the London Ambulance Service who treated a man at the scene.

“The man was taken to a near-by hospital, his condition has now been confirmed as non-life threatening.

“There were no arrests.

“Enquiries continue.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:“We were called at 7.22am today (15 November) to reports of a road traffic collision on The Highway, E1W.

“We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.

“Our first paramedics arrived on scene in less than four minutes.

“We treated a patient at the scene and took them to a major trauma centre.”
