Popular reality programme Big Brother is back for another series after its successful ITV reboot last year.

The show sees strangers from across the country packed into a house-sharing situation while being broadcast to the nation.

The hopeful housemates for the 2024 series have already been announced with a few hailing from London.

Meet the London Big Brother housemates 

Dean

Age: 35

Occupation: Barber

Dean has been a fan of Big Brother for "the longest time", sharing that he wanted to be part of the show since he was 11 years old.

The barber said: "I really want to have a great time and experience everything that Big Brother has to offer – the highs, the lows, the good, the bad, the fun, the not-so-fun. I want it all."

In terms of how he plans to win, Dean said his strategy is to be himself: "The more you’re yourself, the more the public will see you as you. I think housemates will see you as you. I’m going to play it as it comes. It’s a game."

Marcello

Age: 34

Occupation: Youth Mentor

Marcello shared he was looking forward to making "some good connections with people there".

"I’d love to have a little bromance, maybe a little romance," he added.

"I’d love to be able to sit with someone and just laugh my head off and have that connection with someone you feel like ‘there’s a reason we met here’."

The Youth Mentor added that despite wanting to find connections with others, he may get nominated for winding people up.

Izaaz

Age: 29

Occupation: Sales Consultant

29-year-old Izaaz is most looking forward to the tasks in the Big Brother house: "I know sometimes you get secret tasks and I want to put my acting skills to the test! I’m really excited about that."

Asking what he would do with the prize money, Izaaz, said he would use it for a better future: "I have a five-year-old son. If I was single, I’d probably spend it on enjoying a few things. £100,000 is a lot of money and a good amount of money to try and stabilise a better future.

"I would use it to help my son as he grows older. If I do end up having more kids or a family later on - it’s sustainability for the family later on. 

Hannah

Age: 24

Occupation: HR Consultant

Hannah applied to Big Brother after her friends convinced her to, sharing: "I applied to be on the new series of Big Brother for multiple reasons.

"One being everyone keeps on saying that everyone needs to see my personality and how you are as a person - I’m a fun, childish person who loves to laugh and banter around."

The HR Consultant added that if she won, the money would go to the community: "I have a friend who passed away this year, I have known him since I was seven years old - I would give some on behalf of him to charity.

"I would give some to food banks in my area because I believe in giving back to your community is very important."

Ali

Age: 38

Occupation: Forensic Psychologist

Ali shared that her strategy to win is to be herself, sharing: "My strategy would be getting to know people in the house and trying to make friends.

"The main way to keep yourself safe seems to be not getting internal votes so you’re not put up for eviction in the first place."

Ali added that she applied because she wanted to meet new people: "I want to meet new people and have an amazing experience and do something really different."

Daze

Daze said they applied for Big Brother to "find moments of grace, sharing: "I think there’s something about allowing yourself to find moments of grace that really interested me, and this was something that was kind of strange and interesting.

"I decided that it was probably a good place to start if I wanted to do something that allows and gives me an opportunity to grow."

Asking what they would do with the prize money, Daze said: "It’s been a difficult financial period for me – climate activism is quite often something you do in debt. It would be nice to have money to do the work."
