Commuters planning to travel on the DLR this weekend are set to face disruptions to their journeys due to engineering works.

The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) will be running a modified service on September 7 and 8, as essential works will be carried out to some DLR trains.

The service provides a direct connection between Canary Wharf and the City of London from the Docklands, connecting south east and east London.

This weekend, there will be no service between Bank and Tower Gateway, Canning Town and Lewisham, or between Stratford and Canary Wharf.

Customers affected by the service alterations have been advised to use Jubilee line connections between Stratford, Canary Wharf and Canada Water.

Rail replacement buses will operate between Tower Gateway and Canning Town, Westferry and Island Gardens, and between Canada Water (Jubilee line) and Lewisham.
