The 11 best restaurants in London have been named and you get to decide the overall winner. 

The sixth annual British Restaurant Awards (BRA) revealed the nominations for the upcoming 2024 awards including categories like Best New Restaurant and Best Chef to Best Luxury Restaurant and Restaurant of the Year.

Nominations for the awards aim to show the "outstanding culinary prowess that graces every corner of the UK", including London.

The capital has its very own category for best restaurants with 11 nominations in total and the best part is, you get to decide what spot is the winner.

Circolo Popolare in the heart of Fitzrovia is described as a "sunny Sicilian trattoria" made up of a "group of pals, 130 completely crazy Italians."

Famous for making guests feel as if they're in Italy and not London, Circolo Popolare serves the likes of Carbonara in a pecorino wheel,  Neapolitan pizzas with Italian ingredients and their famous lemon pie.

On the online review site Tripadvisor, the nominated restaurant has a rating of 4.5/5 with one guest sharing: "Beautiful place, attention to detail, attentive and fast service, varied and excellent quality dishes, from pasta to pizza to meat, I recommend it."

Also nominated at the British Restaurant Awards is Sumosan Twiga, which offers a mix of  Japanese cuisine, Sumosan, and the brand Twiga.

In Knightsbridge, Sumosan Twiga is self-described as an "exclusive venue" that offers a "unique blend of sophistication, culinary excellence, and vibrant nightlife."

One recent guest of the restaurant shared it was "exceptional", writing: "My dining experience at Sumosan Twiga last week was exceptional! The food was delicious, the ambience was fantastic, and the service was impeccable.

"I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a perfect combination of Asian and Italian cuisine. Five stars all the way!"

Happy Bar & Grill was also among the nominees, previously winning Best Restaurant in London at the British Restaurant Awards in 2023.

Set in Piccadilly Circus, Happy Bar & Grill is a "family-friendly casual dining" restaurant with over 40 sites in Europe.

Serving a large menu of items including Cheese Stuffed Avocado, Fish & Chips, the Mr Chessy burger, Tacos, Pasta and much more, Happy offers something for everyone.

On Tripadvisor, the spot has a score of 4/5 with one guest sharing: "We came both nights we were in London and honestly the experience was amazing!

"The food was delicious and the staff were super friendly and helpful even helping me with my dietary needs! Would definitely recommend it!"

This year the awards will take place on the 28th of August 2024 at the Crown London Hotel and promise to create an evening of culinary celebration.
