A shop worker at a store in Shadwell has spoken out after CCTV captured the moment burglars broke into the store.
The employee from Medina Carpets & Furniture in Martha Street described the situation as "depressing" after the shop fell victim to an early-hours burglary.
CCTV footage from both inside and outside the shop captures the moment a group of masked, hooded men appear to break the shutter to the shop and force their way in on February 13.
The shop worker said: "They opened the shutter around about 2.30am and they came in the shop around about 3.10am.
"They've done the operation in about 15 to 20 minutes and they took a little bit of cash, some charity money and some paperwork.
"It's depressing isn't it?"
This isn't the first time Medina has been targeted by thieves, they added.
"This is the second time - somebody came in, they only broke the shutter but they couldn't do anything. This time they literally came in properly."
Police have launched an investigation into the commercial burglary.

They believe charity collection boxes and rugs were taken from the store.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "Anyone who is offered a rug for sale or has information concerning this incident should call police on 101 or post on X @MetCC quoting 3072/14FEB24."
