A busy road in central London has closed after a suspicious package was reported to the police.
Officers were called to Queen Victoria Street near Bank station at around 11am today (February 2).
The road was closed off to the public as the incident was dealt with by the police.
The item was later found to be non-suspicious.
Queen Victoria Street both ways between Poultry and Queen Street has since reopened, according to AA maps.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “This was a suspicious package which was stood down after found to be non-suspicious.”
