A man who was allegedly involved in a confrontation over dog poo has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with a knife.
Detectives said a dog fouled near the junction of Ropemaker Street and Moorgate on Saturday, December 16.
After a confrontation over this, the victim was stabbed.
The victim’s injuries were not life threatening.
Franklin Da Silva, 29, of Errol Street, Islington, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (January 10).
Detective Sergeant David Honan of the City of London Police said: “I would like to thank those members of the public who contacted us and volunteered information as to the identity of the suspect.
“This investigation underscores our commitments to relentlessly pursue offenders and keep people safe in the city.”
