The body of a man has been found on a riverbank on the Isle of Dogs.
Police have confirmed the body was discovered at Caledonian Wharf this morning (November 21).
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "Police were called at approximately 10:45hrs on Tuesday, 21 November to reports of the body of a man found on the riverbank at Caledonian Wharf, E14.
"London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade also attended the scene.
"Officers believe they know the identity of the deceased and enquiries are under way to inform next of kin."
Enquiries into the discovery are ongoing, with police treating the death as "unexplained".
London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade have been approached for comment.
