A man was injured after being attacked inside an east London supermarket.
Police were called to the Bethnal Green Road Tesco Express store at around 5pm on November 13 after reports the man, in his 50s, had been assaulted there.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "Police were called by the London Ambulance Service shortly before 17:00hrs on Monday, 13 November following reports that a man in his 50s had been assaulted in a supermarket in Bethnal Green Road, E2.
"Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital. His injuries were assessed as not life- threatening.
"A scene was in place until about 22:15hrs while officers carried out enquiries."
No arrests have been made in connection with the assault.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called on 13 November at 4:49pm to reports of an incident on Bethnal Green Road, E2.
“We sent an ambulance crew to the scene.
“We treated a man for a head injury and took him to hospital.”
