The Mayor of London has officially confirmed that the New Year's Eve fireworks will be returning to the banks of the River Thames and tickets will be on sale.

More than 100,000 tickets will be on sale this year as ticket holders will unite opposite the lastminute.com London Eye for the fireworks and hear the traditional sounds of Big Ben’s chimes.

People from all over the world head to London to watch the display and tickets always sell out, which is why it is important to get them as early as you can.

Tickets should only be brought through the authorised outlet AXS as any tickets brought elsewhere will not be valid and you will be refused entry.

How to get tickets to London's New Year's Eve fireworks

The first batch of tickets will go on sale at midday on Friday, November 3.

Tickets for London's New Year's Eve fireworks will cost £20 per person and the money will be used to cover the cost of the event.

There is a maximum amount of four tickets per transaction.

“The only way to enjoy the fireworks in person is by buying a ticket in advance, so I urge anyone wanting to join us to book their ticket as early as possible so they can come and enjoy another wonderful show.”
