As Christmas fast approaches, so does the start of the pantomime season, seeing thousands head to the theatre to enjoy hours of endless laughter and fun.

Pantomimes have long been a Christmas tradition, with many families making annual visits to London to see one of the many shows on offer.

Peter Pan at the London Palladium

It's not Christmas without the London Palladium's annual pantomime, and this year they are bringing Peter Pan to the stage.

With a star-packed cast, celebrities including Jennifer Saunders, Julina Clary and Nigel Havers will bring the Christmas spirit.

Ticket prices range from £20 to £95 and you have the best chance at cheaper tickets after Christmas Day.

Peter Pan is on at the London Palladium from December 9 until January 14 and you can buy tickets via the website.

Dick Whittington at The Richmond Theatre

The Richmond Theatre is bringing big celebrities to the stage for its pantomime season.

Comedian, actor, writer and prester Paul Merton, best known for Have I Got News For You, will be stepping onto the stage to star in Dick Whittington.

The pantomime will be on from Saturday, December 8 until Sunday, January 7 and tickets start at £13 via the website.

Cinderella at The Churchill Theatre

From Saturday, December 2 until Sunday, December 31the story of Cinderella will be told on stage at The Churchill Theatre.

The show will star Loose Women panelist Benda Edwards as the Fairy Godmother as well as John Kimmons as Baron Hardup and Steven Dalziel as Buttons.

Aladdin at Fairfield Ashcroft Theatre

The story of Aladdin will be told at Fairfield Ashcroft Theatre from December 16 until January 7. 

The show will star Davood Ghadami, best known for EastEnders and Holby City, along with Channel 5 star Kiera Nicole.

Tickets for the pantomime start at £16.50 and rise to £36, you can buy them now via the website.

Cinderella at New Wimbledon Theatre

The New Wimbledon Theatre will be showing the magical story of Cinderella with some big names attached.

Strictly Judge Craig Revel Horwood will step into the shoes of the Wicked Stepmother and Pete Firman and Alison Jiear will also feature.

The pantomime will be running from December 8 until January 7 and tickets start at £13.
