TOTTENHAM boss Harry Redknapp was among 200 people evacuated from a Canary Wharf hotel when fire broke out last night.
The football heavyweight grinned as fire fighters accompanied him and other guests from the Marriot in Hertsmere Road after the blaze started on the ground floor’s Curve restaurant.
Ten fire engines and 50 fire fighters rushed to the scene after being called by staff at 10.32pm.
It took them more than four hours to tackle the blaze.
Fire fighters helped six people from apartment blocks above the 12 storey hotel to escape through the internal staircase.
A number of people were treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation at the scene.
A spokeswoman for the hotel said: “We had to evacuate everyone from the restaurant and the rest of the hotel.
“Luckily everyone got out quickly and safely and no-one was injured.
“The restaurant is closed but the rest of the hotel is still open.”
Part of the eatery and some ducting from the ground floor to the second floor were damaged in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
