I’ve launched my mayor’s Covid Recovery Fund.
This is a £3m investment that we’re putting into projects across Tower Hamlets to help kickstart our community’s recovery from the pandemic.
I know how hard the last 15 months have been, and as we return to some form of normality, we want to use this money to build a brighter future for our borough.
We’ll be focussing on supporting mental and physical health, children and young people, our local economy, welfare advice and we’ll also be using some of the money to celebrate the way our community has rallied together.
We’ll be funding projects and initiatives like food pantries, activities in parks, supporting residents who have been isolated during the pandemic, careers support, continuing funding for our volunteer hub and much more.
It’s been a tough time for us all and this fund will help our great borough to recover.
